Welcome to Alpine Bliss
Chalet Grand Coeur is a great location for luxury ski holidays in Châtel and for summer activity breaks in the Alps
Newly built for summer 2010 Chalet Grand Coeur has been designed especially to offer you the ideal location for ski holidays and summer activity breaks in luxurious surroundings. It has been beautifully fitted out with all the modern touches whilst maintaining the cosy feel of a traditional ski chalet.
Our Philosophy is simple, treat our guests as we would wish to be treated ourselves.
A cliché perhaps but true and we have set out to build, furnish and operate Chalet Grand Coeur with this in mind.
From the lovely living room, with panoramic views and a cosy, traditional open fire to the furnishings and well designed en-suite bedrooms we have endeavoured to provide you with a catered ski chalet that you can’t wait to return to after a hard day’s skiing in Chatel or summer walking in the mountains of Chablais.
Chalet Grand Coeur is situated in Chatel, which is a beautiful Savoyard village and part of the Portes du Soleil, which includes Morzine and Avoriaz. You can be skiing in France in the morning and Switzerland in the afternoon! The chalet is ideally located within walking distance of the Linga lifts.
Châtel is a fantastic location for both the winter and the summer.
Skiing in Chatel
During winter in Chatel there is an amazing 650 km of skiing, with something for everyone and an enviable snow record. It is ideal for an european ski holiday. Everything from 9 snow parks to more gentle Nordic skiing routes. Also not forgetting the 89 mountain restaurants for that leisurely lunch time stop.
Chatel Summer Holidays and Activity Breaks
Summer is a great time to try all the other activities in Chatel. Be as active or relaxed as you like. From a gentle, scenic walk in alpine pastures to canyoning! Châtel is a renowned destination for mountain biking and there are also some good road biking routes.
There are 90km of mountain bike trails just in Chatel and there is also access to the lifts of the Portes du Soleil, providing 380km of marked tracks and 23 ski lifts that can be used by mountain bikers, and walkers!
All of this and just 1.5 hours from Geneva.
Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.
Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into the trees.
The winds will blow their own freshness into you
while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.
